A Variety Pack is a bundle of multiple products, each with its own quantity, that you typically purchase together.
Overview
When creating a purchase, you can add:
Single products
When you add a Variety Pack to a purchase, the system adds the individual products from the pack to the purchase.
Cost Calculation
The system calculates the price of each item as:
Total Cost ÷ Total number of items in the added packs
Example:
If you add one pack that contains 40 single items and enter a Single Pack Cost of 50, the item price is:
50 ÷ 40 = 1.25
Access Variety Packs
To open the Variety Pack screen:
Configuration → Variety Pack
Before You Start
You must create the individual products in the Inventory tab before combining them into a Variety Pack.
Create a Variety Pack
Click Create Variety Pack
Enter the Variety Pack Name
This should be a descriptive free-text name.
Click Add to add products to the pack.
Add Products to the Pack
For each product, enter:
Product (Required)
Select a product from the drop-down list.
Quantity (Required)
Enter the product quantity in single units.
Remove Products from the Pack
After adding a product, you can remove it by clicking the Delete link at the end of the row.
