You can view and manage Tax Types from:
Configuration → Tax Types
Overview
This screen is used to define tax types only.
The actual tax rates are set at the location level.
To configure tax rates, go to:
Locations → View/Edit Location → Tax Rates
Tax Types Grid
The grid displays a list of all available Tax Types with their names.
Create a Tax Type
To create a new tax type:
Click Create Tax Type
Enter a name (required), for example:
State Tax
GST
In Applicable to product types, select which product types the tax applies to
Use the checkboxes to select one, multiple, or none
If No Product Types Exist
If no product types have been defined:
Save the new tax type
Go to the Product Types tab
Create your product types
Map them to the appropriate tax types from there
