Enabling DEX Data Transmission for Cantaloupe Machines

This setup is an optional part of the standard Cantaloupe–VendSoft integration process.

This configuration should be used in cases where MDB data cannot be received for any reason (i.e. the machine is sending invalid product codes via MDB)

In such cases, you can configure the ePort device to send DEX data on a scheduled basis instead.


Steps to Enable DEX Data in Seed Live

  1. Log in to Seed Live

  2. Go to General → Devices

  3. Select the device you want to configure

  4. Scroll down and click Device Configuration

  5. Find DEX Setting Schedule

  6. Ensure it is not set to “None”

  7. Set it to: Interval – Every 720 minutes

  8. Click Save and Send

After this is configured, the machine will begin sending DEX files at the selected interval, and the data should start appearing in VendSoft.
