Dashboard screen overview

The Dashboard provides a real-time overview of your vending business, helping you monitor performance and key metrics at a glance.


Access the Dashboard

When you log in to VendSoft, you land on the Dashboard.


Key Metrics

The Dashboard displays:

  • Profit and Loss

    Gross sales, commissions, cost of goods sold, and net income

  • Expenses

    Total recorded expenses

  • Cash Flow

    Cash collected, commissions, purchases, and expenses

  • Sales by Product Type

    Quantity and revenue

  • Sales by Month

    Trends over time

  • Top Products

    Best-selling products


Adjust Time Frame

Use the date range picker (top right) to filter all dashboard data for a specific period.


Switch Between Dashboards

Use the dashboard selector (top left) to:

  • Switch between predefined dashboards:

    • Trips Data

    • Telemetry Data

  • Open your saved custom dashboards


Create a Custom Dashboard

  1. Click Actions โ†’ Create Dashboard

  2. Enter a name

  3. Click Save

  4. Click Add Widget to start customizing


Add Widgets

You can add widgets to track specific data, such as:

  • Cash collected (daily/weekly)

  • Driver comments

  • Recent sales

  • Inventory alerts

  • Purchases by supplier

Click Add after selecting each widget.


Save and Manage Layout

  • Click Save Dashboard to save your layout

  • Use Actions โ†’ Rename or Delete to manage dashboards


Additional Tips

Customize Default Dashboards

The default Trips Data and Telemetry Data dashboards cannot be edited directly.

To customize them:

  1. Click Actions

  2. Select Save Dashboard

This creates a copy that you can edit (add, remove, or rearrange widgets).


Change Widget Data Source

For some widgets, you can switch between data sources:

  1. Click the three dots (โ‹ฎ) on a widget

  2. Select Settings

  3. Choose the Datasource (Trips Data or Telemetry Data), if available

Customize Low Inventory Alerts

The Machines with Low Inventory widget highlights machines that need restocking.

By default, the threshold is 3 units.

To adjust it:

  1. Click the three dots (โ‹ฎ) on the widget

  2. Select Settings

  3. Set your preferred threshold (e.g., 5 units)


Tip

Customize your dashboard to focus on the metrics that matter most.

You can update it at any time as your needs change.
